Xavier University Reimagines Courtside Luxury with FENIX® Blu Fes

Inside the Xavier University Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, home of the Musketeers men’s and women’s basketball teams, the school set out to rebrand and redesign the John D. Dovich Courtside Club. Positioned beneath the lower-level seating bowl and immediately adjacent to the media center and home locker room, the exclusive club serves courtside seat ticketholders and top donors. The goal was to transform a cavernous, under-arena space into a refined, intimate environment that elevated the fan experience.

Design Solution 

FENIX^® Innovative Materials, J0754 FENIX^® Blu Fes  was selected as the primary surface material for railings, food service areas, bar tops and tables throughout the club. The deep blue tone aligns seamlessly with Xavier’s iconic school colors, reinforcing school pride while supporting the renovation effort.

Beyond aesthetics, the material provides the performance needed for a high-traffic hospitality environment. It is food safe, resistant to fingerprints and capable of standing up to intensive use. In the event of superficial micro scratches, the surface can be easily repaired, making it a practical choice for a premium sports venue.

The redesigned John D. Dovich Courtside Club Presented by FENIX^® now offers an elevated, intimate atmosphere that matches the exclusivity of courtside seating. Fans experience FENIX^® firsthand through the surfaces they interact with, while the FENIX^® logo is prominently displayed in the club and on courtside seating placards. The space now reflects both Xavier University’s brand identity and its commitment to delivering a premium, high-end game day experience.
